Toronto Police are looking for a man wanted for an alleged assault on a TTC streetcar driver.

Investigators say the incident happened on Oct. 27, 2017 around 2 p.m. when transit enforcement officers responded to an assault call near College and Bay Sts.

A TTC streetcar operator was helping a woman get on the vehicle when a man waiting on the streetcar allegedly stole the transfers from the cutter, police said.

The driver was able to get the transfers back, and the man “became enraged and spat in the operator’s face,” police said in a news release.

The suspect is described as 30 to 35 years old with medium build, black jacket and blue jeans.

Anyone with information can call police at 416-808-5200 or Crime Stoppers at 416-222-TIPS.
