A 30-year-old man is now sought for slashing another man’s throat in the city’s west end last month.

Toronto Police say the victim, 27, was at a residence near Weston Rd. and Black Creek Dr. when he was attacked around 9:15 p.m. on Jan. 15.

“Another man, with whom he was acquainted, was also in the unit,” Const. Allyson Douglas-Cook said Tuesday. “For reasons unknown, the acquaintance approached the man with a knife and slashed his throat.”

She said the victim was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Investigators have now identified Andy Metatawabin as a suspect in the violence.

Andy Metatawabin, 30, of Toronto, is wanted for attempted murder after a man, 27, had his throat slashed near Black Creek Dr. and Weston Rd. on Jan. 15, 2018.

The Toronto man is wanted on a Canada wide warrant for attempted murder and possession of a weapon.
